Anyone want a go at using their DSLR in 'video' mode to capture an ABBA tribute band at Scunthorpe's Baths Hall with a Queen tribute band on the same night, or the Parkway Theatre in Cleethorpes (both excellent venues I'm told) over the summer months ???

The band's main man and manager is a pal of mine and I've twice shot them at an actual gig, they are very good too

I don't know what the money offered is likely to be as originally I was talking to him about having a go for practise, - so maybe a sort of paid favour

So its more if you want a go to find out how the thing works on your DSLR rather than a paid job as such (I've still never tried mine and frankly I don't care to)

Same as always I suspect - some would think getting paid something to have-a-go at shooting something totally new is great, others would think someone was taking the pee

I'm still more than happy to do various shoots for free or expenses to test myself in a new area, if it leads to paid work that's great, if not... so what... is my take

I think I can guess which camp you're in

As it happens I've had a few PMs from people willing to try it, and one in particular as he's looking to add video to his Wedding work, but of course doesn't wish to practice on an actual Wedding

So I'll change this one to CLOSED - cheers all
