Cloning Skies - help

Hello all,

Im having a bit of trouble cloning out this pole in the image below, when ever i try to clone in some of the surrounding sky the outcome is patchy and looks to unnatural. Has anyone got any tips on cloning or either copying parts of the surrounding sky?

I would crop the picture to remove right hand side of the pic with the pole in it:

did contemplate that but i would like to keep it as a panoramic if possible

Nothing that has been cropped out is going to destroy the picture though

Not as easy as it looks, used the content aware tool in CS5
