Morning all.

I shot some timelapse on Saturday, and forgot that there is a spec on the sensor which appears at a high F number. In the past I have gotten away with this on still images by simply using the clone stamp. And any previous time lapses have been in low light and never been noticable. However, these couple of spec are.

I have almost 600 files currently exporting from Light Room. Is it possible to apply some kind of clone in After Effects or will it be a case of setting up an Automated Sequence within Photoshop and then batch process the files?

ETA: I was hoping that the framing of the final shot would be right as the spec is near the top of the image and going from a 3:2 to a 16:9, but I'm worried I'll be taking too much from the top of the image.

Using Lightroom, select the first image in a sequence and use the spot removal tool to remove the blemish. Then select further images in the sequence and in the Library module use the Synch settings feature - but only select spot removal and nothing else. This will remove the offending spot on all the selected images, but leave all other settings in each frame alone.

Try it out on say a group of 3 or 4 images to ensure it does what you want.

Anthony.

Thanks. I managed to do it in AE... I couldn't for the life of me find the tool in LR..... Thanks for the reply though - I'll look for it harder next time.

Yeah, LR would be the easiest, just check the clone ref point in some frames as LR can choose a daft source sometimes..
