Just wondering... is it only superpro account where you can create private password protected galleries? Or is there any way of doing it on a lower package?

Cheers.

Think you're right - only the upgraded package gives you that option - certainly don't have it with mine.

Out of interest why do you need the protected area - Photobucket & a few other free sites give you this option if it's just to allow viewing priviledges to selected images

I want to be able to post up proof images of portraits for the customer to look at and choose the ones they want. Then just post up a select few for advertising.

Why not use another site to do that, I got a clickpic site and if I ever need to password protect any images.
I also have a Zenfolio-site that allows me to do that. And over there I can download bigger files so people can download them straight from there if I they want to.

And Zenfolio being an American site, and with the rate of the dollar. It was a bargain to have (and a friend of mine referred me to it, so I got a little discount for the fee).

How about that for a solution - surely cheaper than going for super-pro at Clickpic...

I'm currently half way through a 1 month trial with www.theimagefile.com and have been very impressed. Very easy to use for both me, and importantly, the customer. Simple to setup, quick and friendly tech support...

Highly recommended

Theimagefile looks good, but also looks to be a tad expensive. I have to say that Zenfolio is getting better and better. It is very (very) cheap, has a huge amount of storage included, unlike Clikpic which limits the number of images one can upload. The only downside for me at the moment is that to sell images online one can only select USD as the currency... not much use to me or my clients!!

I have complained to them about this and they are currently working on a solution that will allow users to select their default currency.

Thanks for the links. Zenfolio looks impressive. I knew photobucket did a password protected album but I wasn't sure it looked very professional. Doesn't it have ads unless you upgrade to pro.

NP Snake Man... forgot to say that Zenfolio has superb password protection features. If you want to see what it can do... shoot me an email address in a PM or to themusicman@gmail.com and I'll send you an invite to one of my password protected galleries.

^^^ PM sent. Which package do you use?

Can be, depends on usage though. If you're not uploading every month, you can downgrade your account to view only.. costing only £5 per month I believe
