could i have some ideas on how members clean their camera bodies, whenever i see them in pictures on the net, the bodies seem to shine, mine looks quite dull, and i would like to brighten it up..
many thanks

Could be an interesting thread if i ever get round to cleaning mine :)

I use a large 'microfibre' cleaning cloth from Lidls (kind of like terry towel) to keep mine clean. Just give it a wipe over every now and then or if it's been somewhere dirty.

I don't. I just wipe over it gently with a slightly damp cloth (wrung out), gets most grubby marks off.

I use lens cleaning fluid as it evaporates and cleans it quite nicely.

Carl.

Never clean mine either. There was thread on here a little while back about the 1000's of uses of WD40 - I wonder if that was on there  ;)

Jings crivvens no! why would anyone put stinky wd40 on a camera??

Now and again I wipe my camera bodies over with a fairly damp cloth or sponge, and dry with a clean towel which usually brings them up like new. I'd be very wary of using any proprietory solutions at all. The same treatment holds good for the lens barrels and other bits of gear.

I use alchoholic wipes - cleans off any junk that shouldn't be there a treat, and does a good job on general dust too.

You need a granny to spit on a hanky...that cleans anything

OOhh i can still smell that damn white hanky she used to fish out of her handbag for the corners of my mouth! :suspect:
