A sight to gladden the eyes of 'Darksiders' - a black Canon tele zoom!
It was CT talking about buying good glass being more important than a camera, and that they would last well beyond the age of a camera....
Here's the proof. A selection of 'earlier' L glass that I still use daily, and which prove as sharp, and reliable as the newer models.
All the L lenses here have as good, if not better MTF, resolution and vignetting results than the current crop!
OK, the 28 - 80 has an older linear motor. It's a bit noiser, but just as quick as the USM. They all look as good as new - testimony to the quality of construction.
I don't know what they are worth, but for certain, a lot more than I paid for them new, and you can almost never say that about a camera
