Clamp for slide copying

I’m trying to digitise some of my slides. My Plustek scanner is no longer supported and I cannot find any drivers and software that work with Mac or PC so I am using my mirrorless camera with a macro lens and a camera stand (Lab type ie upright attached to a heavy base). I have tried two Smallrig clamps to hold the camera but they struggle with the weight of approx 1.4 kg. The lens is vertical ie parallel to the stand upright. Any suggestions for a more robust clamp that is reasonably priced?

As has been said vuescan will support it just fine.

But any suggestions for a robust clamp if I want to use a camera rather than the Plustek scanner?
