Clacton Air show viewpoints?????

Hi, Could anyone suggest a couple of good places to view the airshow this coming weekend. Should I be East or West or actually in Clacton central to get some good shots. Any help gratefully received. Rob
 
Mrs OutLore and I are going, but having never been before we have no idea on good spots....

Keeping an eye on the thread though, just in case someone responds with a suggestion!!
 
Well they put the car parking signs up last night, the main car park is Clacton Airfield, but it's a hike to the seafront from there?
 
Hmmm... I guess getting there early and parking closer will work out expensive, too.
 
My parents used to watch the show in prior years and they told me that the best vantage point is:

to the Right of Clacton pier (looking out to sea),

They used to park in the side roads, but whether that is still possible - the official 'show' car park is in West Road, but is quite a long road from memory. The Airport is ~3/4 mile from the sea front / pier. You could always ask the Tourist information office on the best location and parking - 01255 686633

ps when you say this weekend - I believe the show is on Thursday & Friday only - Thursday 26th & Friday 27th August 2O1O
 
Anyone go in the end? We went - were about 1/2 mile to the right of the pier, as we didn't get there anywhere near as early as we wanted to!

Good show though.
