CISS Ink off hands

I eventually got around to installing my CISS for the Canon IX4000. A relativly pain free experience and the results so far are not to be sniffed at, perhaps some tweaking will be done though.

Anyway, what I didn't realise is my hands would turn into a multicoloured fashion accessory. What is the best way to get dye ink off of your hands? Ive tried soaking them, nail varnish and even offered to do the dishes but nothing is working. I may have inadvertently got a few blobs on my face aswell...

Any help very much welcomed.

Time is very good, allow plenty, ink usually washes off in about a week if you wash often enough!

Well Im glad im not the only one to have been over eager to install it and not realise the mess i was making. :bonk:

Ahh well, Im an architecture student afterall, it adds to the 'art college' look ive been aspiring too.

We dont have a face-palm smiley on the list but if we did I would use it. I did indeed use warm water to try and get it off...:bang:

At this rate of scrubbing I'll be like new (or bloody) by the morning

Try a little diluted bleach, it won't completely remove it but, it will turn most colours yellow so, not so noticeable while your waiting for it to wear off.

It was a can't. I had my hands in a bleach solution which has certainly helped. Only a little blue remains which im sure will fade in a day or two.


They should really include some latex gloves with them.

latex is a big no no and putting your hands in bleach lol

for future refference Tufanega workshop wipes remove most stuff from your hands, including red oxide paint, and wood dye, so i would imagine that they would shift ink
