Chrome issue on Mac

Hi

My Chrome browser is not playing sound loudly enough. It used to be fine but now even when I crank up the volume to full on my MBP the sound is barely adequate. I must have changed something but I don't know what. Any suggestions? Safari is fine so seems to be a Chrome setting
