Yes
Well Ive said all along I really hope the X-Factor winner doesn't get it.

I was thinking Take That might clinch it, but their song has been number one now, and I think it's going to slide.

I really hope Girls Aloud don't get it, and Cliff's had his fair share.

My contender this year? I really hope Ricky Tomlinson gets it..
I've just watched the video to Christmas My Arse and it's excellent.

As Paul Ross said this morning, on telly, it's got everything a christmas number one needs, it's festive, it's got great laughs, it's a bouncy funny tune...it'd better win number one

What say you, the fair TP populous?

I'd rather this than the bunch of talentless ****wits from Xfactor, or Girlsaloud, etc.

So a  from me :D

I l0ve girls aloud.....but only with the sound turned off

My vote/s go to Emma B ... :D

She is gonna take pole on SCD and make it a double with her latest release ... ... imd ... :D

:p

Hey, Girls Aloud ain't too bad - at least their music often features filthy dirty guitars...

I think that goes for most of the male population doesnt it! ;)

Have to admit I havent a clue whats going on in the charts since TOTP's ended.
The only radio I ever listen to these days is Kerrang! so I dont have to suffer the likes of Cliff & Girls Aloud ... would love to see the Ricky Tomlinson video though!

Oh i don't know about that......if i was covered in chocolate and they were in the room, i'd be rather interested in the noises they make :naughty:

:puke:

I couldn't care less

I'd like Cliff to have another chart hit just so he has hits in 6 decades

Well I don't think it's looking good for Ricky Tomlinson for number one :shake:

Watched Leona win the X Factor last night, and while I won't deny she's got a good voice. It's all engineered. they build the show up for 3 months, to a big climax the week before christmas, make a big song and dance about the release of the winners single, all perfectly timed...and hey presto...what gets to number one.

They may as well pay for it...IYSWIM. Christmas Number 1 doesnt really have any meaning anymore, because it's literally 'bought' by the marketing campaigns now. :(

:withstupid: I mean :agree: ;)

Would rather Cliff won it every year than the X-F****r crowd :(

... the first part of my plan has gone to pot ... b'stard public just ain't got a clue have they ... :bang: :annoyed: :annoyed: :annoyed:

EB chucked out of SCD over a bleedin' clumsy rugby player ... havin' a larf ain't they ... makes me wanna ... :puke:

The worlds gone mad ... :gag:

:p

I'd have to agree with you there. Would be interesting to see what they could do with a heavier rock song.

How could anyone begrudge Leona a hit single??
she will be without doubt one of the best female singers to come out of this country...

Lol at Darksider

Thank god as that is one dire excuse for music. Back in yer close, Tomlinson!

Don't know the singer yet but that chirpy song that goes "why did you go and put stars in their eyes" is not only topical but a great little sing a long. :)

Slightly off topic, but did anybody see that "Ghost Hunting with Girls Aloud" last week?

Was hilarious telly!

The X-factor's winner had advance sales of over 1m copies of their song - before the final had decided who it was gonna be! No-one else stands a chance...

Not really a coincidence that XF finishes a week before Xmas is it? They made a great play on the fact that as soon as the winer was announced, the cd's would start to be produced, they even had masters of both songs ready to start copying.

I've no idea who will be No. 1 this year but it certainly won't be RT with that rubbish.

XF has taken the 'fun' out of the race to the Xmas no 1...I know I'm stating the obvious but its simply a very cynical marketing exercise which must be very disheartening to performers and bands who have not entered a competition to have a number 1 as a prize.

This is not to discredit the winner who seems to have a fantastic voice but, to me, it just seems wrong!

I absolutely agree! Matt's a lovely bloke, but NOT a better dancer than Emma. .......X factor.....what's that?

Seems like we're in the minority there m8 ... unfortunately ... :suspect:

I think you're just using the PC term for Xtra f*ckedup ... :naughty:

If the populus didn't watch such utter crap ... ... we might get something decent on the tv worth watching ... :shake: ... at least occasionally ...
