Manage to get the front of my house looking like something out of Close Encounters Of The Third Kind, but one thing is bugging me. One strip of lights go across the front window stuck on by those little suction pads. The thing with these lights is I put them on static mode, but when I turn them off then back on they're flickering away on another mode.
Any hints or tricks to keep them on static? and not just turn them off :D

If your other light strips don't do this, are they the same models, or are their power/controller blocks compatible with the problem strip?
If so, try swapping with another set and see if the fault follows the suspect controller. If so, take it back to the shop for a swap. (y)

A lot of sets of lights are programmed to do this ,each time they are switched on / off they cycle to the next sequence ,there should be a little button on the control box that you have to keep pressing to return to the mode you want .

Be aware that flashing Christmas lights can cause instability in your internet service. REIN (Repetitive Electrical Impulse Noise) is the technical term, other causes include electric fences, railway power lines and locomotives in particular pendolino power cars, lifts and the list goes on.

Before I retired I dealt with some strange BB interference cases and they always spiked when the flashing light season began
