Ive read that I may need to adapt my Cokin P filter holder to use with a Sigma 10-20 lens.

Can anyone kindly describe EXACTLY which bit needs to be removed? Im assuming it is the slot at the very furthest from the camera.

Does this then prevent any other type of use.....ie, I would still be able to combine a Cokin circular filter which slots in, and an ND grad Grey?

And YES....I HAVE noticed the new wording under my avatar guys!!!

How quick was that..........and even before I got a reply!! :D

Hi Janice, I had to chop my filter holder too. It is just the slot or slots furthest from the lens leaving just the one slot remaining. This means that you wont see the filter holder even at 10mm but you cannot use more than one filter at a time. I used a small hack saw and cut down the slot as a guide and then trimmed it neat with a stanley knife ( I still have all my fingers too).
Hope this helps.

Yes I sawed the last two slots off my Cokin P and can now use it at 10mm with no vignetting. Although you only get one slot for the square filters you can still use the CP in the wider slot right in front of the lens so you can use a CP and one ND grad at once.

Priceless - was going to make some cheeky comment but clearly no need now

I shall be away in a world of my own in the shed with my hacksaw and stanley knife tonight then...... and my sensor will be left safely indoors!!

had a feeling that meant you could use the CP AND the ND....thanks for that! I was right for once! ;)

I would suggest Janice that you place the filter holder on top of any sensors you may have that way if the hacksaw slips nobody will notice the difference in scratches :D
