Edit My Images
Yes
Ive had a good soul search and my main interest for photos is around All Things Nature with a bit of City thrown in.

What sort of focal lenses do you think I would tend to use the most,as I'm very very beginning i shall experiment with the 3 i have, 18-55mk2 IS.55-250 and 55 1.8 prime.

thanks

You have a good range of lenses there.

I wouldn't worry about what focal lengths you might need, don't even think about it for now. Just concentrate on taking photos.

Then in a few weeks you can come back and review your images and figure out your most commonly used focal length is and upgrade in that area. You might not even realise you do it but you will probably find that you use a particular length more than others.

As above, get taking pictures. I saw myself as a landscape photographer but I ended up deriving just as much pleasure from shooting people. Don't snub any opportunities that may come along because you don't feel it's inline with your style - you might surprise yourself.

Agreed. The lenses you have cover most of the range. Use those for a while and you will answer your own question in time. I think you will end up upgrading to a better lenses that are basically the same focal length.

The lenses you have now are a good start.
After a while you may find you want a very wide for the city stuff (10-22?) and for the nature photographs some quite long (say out to 400mm (at least)) when you just want to reach out and grab things (especially small birds etc).

^^ That ;) I'd allow yourself a good few months or so of shooting to see what you like, how you like to shoot etc & go from there :)

And another old, dead thread revived... what is the actual point of this?

Were the resurrection man (Shane) relatively new, I would suspect he was trying to boost his post count but he's been here long enough and posted enough to qualify for classifieds' access (brane fart! no need to qualify now!) anyway. It is over a year since the OP was last seen here...

I'm certainly not following your posts. Just like to read responses!

And certaily not wanting to point anything at anyone, but when a "lot" of threads are revived, it sometimes is a kind of trolling... hence my question, why the need for answering in such an old thread...

Thrills I get plentyful elsewhere... :naughty:
