I am looking to add to my collection of lens in the New Year. I At present I have a Sigma 24-70mmDG f/2.8, Canon 100-400 IS L, 70 - 200mm IS L f2.8, 18-55mm kit lens, Canon35-80mm f4-5.6 and a 100-300mm efs f4-5.6 and finally a Sigma 18-200mm OD f3.5-6.3.

My problem is i would like a 300mm IS L or 300mm L as I mainly do sport, with the odd wedding and portrait! so heres the dilemma!

1. Of the lens above which should go
2. If I do sell lens above which 300 f2.8 will it help to finance

Your help would be greatly welcomed

There seems to be quite a bit of overlap in your lens selection! Do you need the 100-300, as well as the 100-400? And unless you use the 18mm-24mm range a lot, you could probably sell the kit lens and not worry about it too much?

I'd suggest selling the kit lens, the 100-300, and the 35-80 (never heard of that lens before, is it a few years old?). Depending on how much you use it, the Sigma 18-200 could be useful if you don't want to be continually switching over lenses, but personally I'd prefer not to compromise and use one of the others. But I'm only a newbie, so don't listen to a word I've said ;)

That's a random-looking odd-ball collection! You can't possibly use all those. Is it correct? There's no EF-S 100-300mm...? I would look at a gound-up review before splashing on a 300/2.8 ;)

OOOPS i meant EF and 75-300....Too much xmas cheer I'm afraid!!!!

The 2 white lens where bought later as a result of me getting into the sports photography. I would think that the kit lens, the 35-80 and the 75-300, plus a 350D will be going on ebay soon!
