Chicken dinner anyone?

Our new 'girls' are settling in nicely, they've been exploring the garden and have discovered the delights of mealworms. Being ex-battery hens they still look a bit manky and 'oven ready' but they are getting friendlier.

I've stuck this in here as the pics aren't really for C & C, just a bit of fun.

We got some of them back in March, the laying was a bit hit and miss at first but now they are settled we can get up to nine eggs a day (6 hens) and they look like they should.

Wow! Nine eggs a day! We're getting 2-3 at the moment and bloody nice they are too.
