I ordered a Sigma 10-20mm from 1stCameras about a week ago. I saw that they had debited my account a couple of days back but had not heard from them so I phoned to ask if and how the lens had been dispatched. They said oh um but we don't have one, can't get one till the end of January at the earliest! I said but you still debited me for it? well yes but we'll send it out as soon as it arrives.

I said refund it! (silently "cheeky bastids!")

They said ok then.

Now I have to wait for them to refund me so I can order it elsewhere

Thats just not on, most places that take online payments only debit your account if they have stock. Like you I would be very upset about that and avoid shopping there in future.

Its a tough lesson to learn ove the Christmas period though, the refund will take even longer and then the same for the good to arrive from a different retailer.

Unfortunatley there is becoming more retailers making interest on customers money stock or no stock..:banghead:

Cases like this really annoy m8, online business's are using the customers money to fund their enterprises.
