I think that the camera/flash setup I am trying to use, just doesn't work they way that I thought it should, but I don't know why.
I have a cheap no-brand wireless trigger, attached to a remote flash.
When I use the camera in 'normal view' mode, with a 2 second delay, the flash goes off.
When I use the camera in 'live-view', with a 2 second delay, the flash will not trigger. Pressing the flash trigger button works, the flash goes off, but it doesn't when on timer and live view.
Is this 'as designed' for the canon 7d? It seems a bit, of an unecessary limitation.
Basically, press shutter release, 2 seconds, trigger flash, press live view, wait 5 seconds (more than enough for a recharge), press shutter release, 2 seconds, no flash
Basically, what I am trying to do, is to trigger a 580 EX II and a Yonguno ?460?.
Setting the 7d to wireless mode, allows me to control the 580, but the 460 will not flash correctly in either S1 or S2 (S1 mode it goes on the pre-flash, S2 it sits there and does nothing).
So, I thought that I could set the Yonguno to S1, and then use the RF trigger to trigger the 580, but the 580 won't trigger when live-view is enabled.
