Cheapish wide angle lens (Nikon)

Do they exist? Looking for a wide angle lens for my D90 as the widest lens i have at the moment is my 35mm prime.

Are there any good quality lenses for upto £250?, new or used im not really fussed.

I have the Samyang 85mm f1.4 and it is a cracking lens, so I dont see why this one should not be good as well

Used Tokina 12-24 mm or Sigma 10-20 sometimes fall into the £250 or just a wee bit over.

The Samyangs are MF aren't they?

Tokina 12-24 f/4...... I had one that I got used for £245, albeit minus box, from MPB. Great lens; swapped mine for a Sigma 14mm, only because I wanted a prime and an extra stop of light

Indeed, and I think the one mentioned has manual aperture controls too?

You can't really go wrong with a Tokina 12-24mm f4, shaper than the Sigma and about the best build quality of all the cropped wide angle lenses.

Yes, all nikons except the d40 and high end d3's etc AFAIK
