Well if you are going to buy a lot:- Today I noticed "spend £10 and get a £2 voucher for when you next spend £12"..so If I got this right, you get 22 films for £20...can't be bad.
I suppose you could buy 10 films, then walk back in and buy another 12 all for £20 unless there are rules on the voucher

At my Poundland shop they were selling Ferrania Solaris 200 asa (erm they put ISO) and 24 exp, in a 2 pack container £1...erm maybe they have heard Fuji are putting up their prices?

When I read about the price hike on here I went to Poundland the next day for another ten of the vista. Got about a years supply now.

It would be a huge shame if Agfa Vista Plus was discontinued, it was a decent film stock, and at £1 a massive bargain.

Well they were still selling Agfa as well..who knows maybe a change-over while stocks last, and I think it is great that Poundland are bothering to search for supplies of film as surely they must sell more jammie dodgers than film

ISO has been the correct terminology since 1974 when it replaced ASA.

The ASA and DIN film speed standards have been combined into the ISO standards since 1974.

The current International Standard for measuring the speed of color negative film is ISO 5800:2001 (first published in 1979, revised in November 1987) from the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).

Related standards ISO 6:1993 (first published in 1974) and ISO 2240:2003 (first published in July 1982, revised in September 1994, and corrected in October 2003) define scales for speeds of black-and-white negative film and color reversal film, respectively.

The determination of ISO speeds with digital still-cameras is described in ISO 12232:2006 (first published in August 1998, revised in April 2006, and corrected in October 2006).

Long live ASA:clap:

And let's hope my Poundland has had a restock :)

Some people think Ferrania is excellent..might be good for some type of subjects  If so, two packs of 24 exp is more convenient than one of 36exp as for me even swapping the film between cameras takes me ages to get thru' 36 shots.

Costs more to have two lots of 24 developed but for cross processing when testing cameras it's probably better. It is encouraging that they've sourced other stock if Vista is going away.

Went into the big Coventry Poundland today; they have a few of the Ferrania, and did have a lot of Vista and a few Kodak. Many boxes were opened, so I found 20 unopened ones with a date of Aug 2014 and bought them. Probably a dozen or more left now!

Interestingly (well to me) the poundland in the St James center had plenty Vista but it was a mix of 36 and 24 with only a month separating their expiry. I bought a few rolls of 36, just in case.

Couldn't find any film in the Eastbourne Poundland. Boo!

Did you ask a member of staff? There was at least one Poundland that I went to (might have been Dalston Kingsland) where they had the film, but it was behind the counter - you know, in case film addicts came in and stole it?

The last few batches I have bought have also been a mix of 24 and 36 exposure rolls. I got so used to it being 36 that I got sloppy while shopping and never checked until it was too late!

Same here! Although the 24's have a slightly longer date.

I did - the poor lad looked like I was asking for unicorn poo, and directed me to the entertainment section :P

The entertainment section in the Coventry Poundland is where I found mine, underneath a spilled layer of toys...

All the local poundlands to me sold Kodak Colour Plus 200, none have any now, and haven't for months. Little gutted about that :(

They now sell only Agfa Vista Plus 200, which is produced by Fujifilm. Have you asked a member of staff? They tend to be in the most random places in the store, or sometimes barely visible amongst piles of tat.

Best film bargain I bought was Salisbury's 10 months ago, Kodak films 49p each, I bought all their stock. :) but I hope pound-land get a good restock near me soon I need more. should I avoid this Ferrania then or have people had good results? (presuming there's some in there)

Ah I never knew this. I just assumed they stopped selling film all together. I'll have to ask next time I go in. Last time I mentioned photography film I was taken to the DVD section
