I'm considering purchasing a fisheye for my Canon 450D just for fun and to play a bit whilst photographing groups and/or landscape. I don't want to make a big investment wonder if there is a nice starter fisheye that won't break the bank, that might help me get a feel for them? Any advice?

I know Lensbaby has a fisheye product, but I don't really like their results.

Would love to hear anyone's thoughts/advice.

Thanks

What's your budget? I believe the cheapest fisheye is the Peleng 8mm f/3.5, which is around £200.

You could maybe buy a wide angle and add the fisheye in photoshop?

The samyang 8mm is highly regarded

have you thought about fisheye effects after in photoshop or lightroom ? when i got started i bought a few off ebay for £10 odd that screwed in to the std 18-55 lens - ok nothing amazing but they work - could be a poss if you are only having a play ?

You can get cheap fisheye adapters on Ebay, you'd be as well buying one of those first to see if you will have a use for it, as the novelty can wear off pretty quickly - my old Tokina 10-17 fisheye changed hands about 4 times in the space of 6 months on here
