Hello all,

I'm looking for a cheap ( eBay) Compact with a view finder EVF or optical cheap cheap cheap. Any ideas 10mp or so plus .

Thanks all

Have a look at the Canon Ixus range? Mine has an optical VF which zooms.

You could look at the older Canon G series (the more recent G X series are still expensive). Mine was the 10 MP G7 (not to be confused with the G7X). They have zooming optical viewfinders. If you go for something of this vintage, you'll need to check media card compatibility and battery availability - e.g., I know that the G7 supports the original SD and SDHC formats, but it pre-dates SDXC and presumably isn't compatible. I think third party batteries for it are still available.

Thanks to both of you, I just seem to find framing easier with a view finder It also makes it feel much more like a real camera. Also at least you can see what your looking at rather than a screen in bright light.

I almost bought one of those Fujis at the time - very nice design, decent optical zooming viewfinders - though I went for an X100T in the end. But their quality is still reflected in the price, £150+ for the X10, £200+ for the X20.
