With a couple of manfrotto superclamps, these look like they'd make a good Manfrotto Autopole alternative at just £40 a pair and rated to 60kg each, vertically.
Anyone embarked on such an adventure?
These would be ideal for me as a) I'm renovating a house, so will come in handy later and b) would be ideal for me erecting a temporary studio in a part of the house that has been finished (without drilling walls etc) while I get my studio sorted elsewhere. I plan eventually to use a wall mounted system so didn't want to buy a backdrop system in the interim. For £40, I might try given I can use them for building work if they turn out to be rubbish as Autopoles for background roll!
