Hi all,

I've wanted to change the folders that all my photos are stored in for a while now. Currently my photos are automatically stored in folders by date of when they were taken....this has left me with a messy photo folder!

I'd like to move all photos into just annual folders, '2011', '2012', etc but I don't know how to move the photos whilst keeping the links between lightroom and each photo? Is this possible?

Create the new folder structure then drag 'n' drop photos from old location to new locations within LR. It'll automagically keep track of transfers.

Actually, if you use the library filter you can get it to display all the images shot in 2011 then just select them all and drag them to the new folder.
 
Thanks for the advice. Where abouts in Lightroom can I do this? Sorry if I'm a noob!
