Is there a way to change my username? I've been searching hoping to find how but no luck.

Oh I see!
A new member comes along and straight away they can change their username whereas I wasn't allowed to and you b******* have me still paying for it 13 years later![]()

LOLIt could be awkward if a long time member changed their name, and another member started chatting merrily to them, not realising it was one they previously steered clear of.![]()
I told you, drop me a PM and I'll change it for you.
Can't guarantee you'll like what I'll change it to though.![]()

For existing members of some years standing,
a full inquiry, a unanimous vote and a brown envelope stuffed with fivers is a mandatory, for consideration.
One time special deal, however the dead line has passed and @Marc is correctI wish you lot woud make your minds up, Marc said an envelope stuffed with £20 notes![]()
On a more serious note, isn't it the case that a change of user name only propagates forwards? Putting it another way, the forum is littered with people quoting from posts by StephenM, and @StephenM to attract my attention. Were my username to be changed to StephenTheWorldsGreatestPhotographerAndAllRoundGoodChappie wouldn't this make a lot of forum historical posts rather unintelligible in terms of whodunnit?
Or in simple terms, isn't it a bad idea if you have more than 1 or 2 posts?
I think it would probably still link to the user account, regardless of what the text is. A bit like href = link, it does not matter what the text says, it still follows the link.
Although I could be wrong.
Just tested it.if you click on a @ link, it goes to the user's member page...
i'm pretty sure that the forum software only really takes any notice of the number after the name....
lets test it
ETA: yep. Forum software works on the user number, not the name prefixed - name changes only change that bit, not the user number so @ links still pull out the persons member page.
