CF card

Anyone used or using the Kingston 8GB 133X ELITE PRO Compact CF card. Im interested in buying 1 for my D300 as they are a good price.Your thoughts.

It's obviously only my opinion, but I think 8Gb is a little too big (unless you using a 1Ds Mk III or something similar that produces massive files. Because if you lose the data on an 8Gb card you have lost one huge number of images.

So for a similat price I'd buy myself a few 2Gb cards I think. May be a 4Gb.

I have 2 x 4g Sandisc Extreme III just now but i find myself changing cards mid shoot and always thinking if i have enough cards with me.My thoughts were to use an 8g one and then if that runs out i could use a 4g one.

I use 2,4,8 and 16GB, I have (touch wood) never had a problem with any of them. I tend to use the smaller one 2 & 4 when the stuff I am taking is irreplaceable just in case...

Depends on the write speed of the camera being used I think.
