Yes
My Cd drive has just started making a 'vibrating' sound in between songs, I spose when accessing (?) Does this mean it is possibly about to die? :(

May need cleaning or the disk itself might have a mark or something

Sounds like its on its last legs to me - you could try cleaning it as it could be some dust or something on the laser lens (?) You'll need a CD cleaner for that (a CD with a little brush embedded in it)
Paul ;)

I will get a cd cleaner and give that try.
I think that this drive has been in the machine for quite a while now and I just seem to recall this happening before on another PC, think it had to be replaced.
Ah well, I'll give cleaning a try first, thanks for the help :)

Mine did that... then died :( Very easy to replace though (and that's coming from someone with no idea about PC's at all )

Looking around at the prices, I think it would be just as well to replace it, just could of done without that lil bit of extra expense at the mo. :)
They say things go in threes, I'm now on my fifth thing this week

I agree, it's probably as cheap to replace as it is to buy a cleaning disc.

Make sure first that it's not just the one cd that's bad though...

No it isn't the one cd, have played several today, happened each time :)
And as you said just as cheap to replace, I'm surprised at just how much the prices have come down over the years :)
