Yeah, that's Season alright. You've cropped the bottom of the bench and I'd like to see a bit more pop in the contract/colour.

agree about the crop not a very interesting BG either but its a good start
 
Thanks, yes i was disappointed. I have another image which has the full bench but not as good. I set out on Sat with an idea of what i wanted to take. So its all learning and i stuck with my image..

This was at coombe hill on the Chilterns..

I shall post my other images i took on the same day later.
 
The bottom of the bench has already been mentioned, and I think you could have done with a much larger depth of field to get everything in focus, or just a different angle. It's a start though. :)

Chris, I didn't mind the cropped leg but the out of focus horizon kept drawing and hurting my eye. Good start, though (I still haven't got my first up, waiting for some film to come back). The last shot I really like, especially those lovely lacy trees in the lower middle. there's lots of negative space in the top half, but I think it's OK because of that hedge line leading down across it. IMHO anyway!

Hi Chris

SEason....of the 4 images posted I'm going with the 3rd one...the path through the tree's leads you in nicely , snow on the branch's & it has a sort of old fashinoned feel to it :) Maybe up the exposure just a smidge to bring a little more light to it ?

I like the original one as well barring the cropped leg but could do with a little more punch to bring out some color
 
I like the wider view of the seat, though I would considor cropping out the bottom and left hand side a bit. I can feel the cold from the pic and I can imagine sitting on the seat right now, it is a bit flat, maybe a brightness and contrast boost? Could look good as a gritty b+w.
