Hi all,

I'm lucky enough to travel abroad frequently with my work but never take my camera gear as I need to carry a lumpy laptop with me, but I'd like to change this by buying a new bag. Spec is -

- must be airline carry on size (BA/KLM etc)
- must hold a 15 inch HP laptop with a huge extra battery :(
- hold a gripped 7D
- hold a 24-105 plus maybe a wide angle and a flash
- and also an ipad

Finally I need pockets for travel documents.

Am I asking a bit much :D

I have a cheap GEM backpack that packs everything you described and more (you don't want to flash it in their face, but it pretty much meets the measurements). I've been to France and Sweden this year so far like that. Mine is pretty worn out so I am also looking for a similar replacement now

P.s they now require that you carry all batteries in hand luggage which is not exactly convenient

Lowepro350 just abouts fits carry-on (and I've taken it on BA domestic before). It holds a rather thick netbook in case (just about), and can easily take a gripped 7D and a few lenses including flash and a decent zoom. The front pocket can fit an ipad and travel docs in a folder, though both would probaby be getting tight.

Maybe take a trip to jessops (use on-line reserve to check stock) with your gear; that's how I tested mine. I even purchased it from them (cheaper than amazon when ordered online reserve).
