What a f*****g rip off, just come back from Scotland after two years.
MOTd my Versys 650 insured it just before i lost any of my 9 years no claaims ( 2 years limit)

went to tax it onling £82/year. what a f*****g rip off, so you can drive a dieseil world polluting children killer for like £30 a year but my bike which has a cat and emits F all is £82 quid a year.

[PLEASE DON'T TRY TO BYPASS THE SWEAR FILTER].

Diesel world polluters are much dearer than £30.
This coming from someone currently taxing 4 bikes, but yes if it is really linked to emissions most modern bikes should be a bit lower, rip off is possibly a bit extreme IMHO.
£30 paying cars should put out very low emissions comparatively speaking (to diesel world polluter ones)...

What are the bikes emission numbers?

Awesome rant. Don't like the tax on your bike. Sell it. Simple.
f*** that then i wouldn't be able to drift past cagers stuck in traffic whinging about the state of roads.

When I had to tax my diesel, I paid 250 for a year. For Bandit 600 I paid 65, for En-125 17.50 :D

bandit comes in cheap at under 600cc nice one :-)

My car is £16 a month tax, bike (CBR600) £5.25 so cannot complain.
Well I can but about other gripes!

Hopefully quickly enough though, that we won't hear you whining. :-)

Cagers

C'mon either I am a Cager or a Codger ...make up ya mind chap! :D

Either way I still pay NO RFL so I am more financially free, you are a slave to you bike man....simplify man! :D

I think it is good, Bikers seem to use much more of the roads than us Car Drivers do. They should pay more. And then also some compensation for having to look at that awful leather clothing.

It's still nothing though; my car is £500 in the first year, then £270 each year there after. But lets be real, its peanuts compared to everything else.

From what I remember my 600cc Yamaha R6 cost twice as much as my 2.0l Vauxhall Insignia to tax, does seem a bit mad !

A Vauxhall insignia 2.0 for just £30/year? Wow that is cheaper than I thought.

Not just bikes. I'm guilty with one car, and soon two cars making a wonderful symphony :)

I've got a eco start stop tree hugger edition :)

* I think it may have cost £35

Impressive, that is very good.
