I've seen a few shots where the photographer has used a single flash and then talked about blending the images to achieve the finished article. I've hunted around the internet and YouTube but can't seem to find a clear tutorial about doing this.
I think I understand generally what's happening but am looking for some input on techniques on the lighting process and how to manage the layers. Some of the stuff I've seen seems to fall under the spray and pray but I'm certain there must be a bit more of a logical process ?
