Anybody able to give me advice on what's the best way to fit an aftermarket dab sterio in the car, the stumbling block seems to be the antenna.

I have read mixed reviews on the aerials which stick to the inside of the windscreen.

Is it worth getting somebody to fit one properly to the outside of the car replacing the fm aerial, but don't want to spend a fortune.

Really fancy having dab in the car but wondering if its worth the effort.

I replaced the existing FM aerial on my old car with a DAB/FM one. It was pretty easy for me to do but would depend on what kind of aerial you have, where it's fitted and your skill level.
Mine was at the front leading edge of the roof and I fed the extra wiring for the DAB side up behind the window pillar.
Another option you have is to fit an extra magnetic aerial and feed the cable in via a door (which I did on 2 vans I drove) but you need to make sure rain water can't follow the cable in if you do that.

Both ways gave a significantly better reception than a window mount one.

Thanks for the info. Don't the dab aerials need to be powered?

More then happy to stick a magnetic one the the roof and run a cable through the boot if it's going to do the job.

It's an old car so I am not to worried about the look so much.

One thing, if you are proud of your paint job, stick some clear all weather tape on the roof where you're going to put the aerial so that it doesn't get scratched.
