Car Colours

It was icy and foggy, road condition were bad. A lot were breaking the speed limit for normal road conditions. I got off at the first available exit, there was a big pile up further up the road. The speeders were speeding, oblivious to what may be hidden in that mist. Those speeding vehicles did not get very far, little did they know, there was a five car pile up, just a little further up. Insane!

I got off and took a different route. ;)

@LongLensPhotography There is your answer. :)

PS

Driving to were I want to get to. That is what the hell I am doing there! (y)

Good reply!

There are far too many drivers that don’t drive to conditions. I guess it is because cars are comfortable and feel safe. Any residual understanding of the effects of the laws of Physics goes out the window.

I forgot to mention car colours!

I’ve had
White
Blueish
Maroon
Red
Black
Pale blue
Black
Green
Green
White
Red
Grey
Dark grey

Looks like I need a yellow one next time?

The best one was the first green one...

Can see the pic now, John. Sort of depends which silver it is, I suppose. All 3 of our current cars are "grey" on the V5 but are very distinct shades (as I've said before) and I suspect that there are similar grades of silver.

I love the colour of mine. It's called Tango Orange but looks different depending on the light.

Not 100% on the name though.. Sportage. There's nothing Sport about it.

Currently got a Le Mans Blue BMW, and had an Estoril Blue M3 prior to that. By far my favourite colour was Technoviolet though, stunning!

Nice colour… Given the road conditions, how come it is so clean?

Going by the trail lights in the background, a longish shutter speed, on a tripod possibly? If I tried a shot like that up my area, I would have to take the photo quick, and move. Otherwise somebody would be out, to see what I was up to. I would have thought, it would be difficult getting a shot like the above, as there are cameras everywhere. I have not done night photos in a long time, I think I should get out more. :)

I find that a colour depends more on the car rather than being a generic catch all.

I had cleaned it just before dark. Hence the photo :D
Before that it had a colour called road dirt sludge with flecks of grey snow

Spotted this car this morning, a silvery blue. The back end looks awful. I just could not drive that car.
That is the result of a very strange fad called "Sticker Bombing"
As for the car itself, a Citroen Picasso, the name speaks for itself really. Quite often found driving on the A12 in the outside lane at 56.001mph as it overtakes a car doing 56mph.

It had a textured look to it, so I thought it may have been stickers of some sort. I was on full zoom, I did not bother to go and have a look.

When I went car shopping I couldn't be too picky about the colour, so (Circuit) Blue pearl it was.

I actually very much like silver cars.

IDGAF what colour is available if I'm buying an NSX [emoji7]

That was very much my strategy....so few good cars come onto the market (it took me 8 months to find Y1) you cant worry unduly about the colour.

Nice shade of Blue. Not sure it will be able to Tow that plane though.

PS

That would have made a funny photo, had you lain down a rope, between the two.

Ahh, I remember what your car reminded me of. The Cortina mk 11 1600E. I know your car looks nothing like a Cortina. Just the colour and the wheels, remind me of a gold coloured 1600E, with Rostyle wheels. I always wanted one, ( 1600E ) but could never afford one, I can't afford one even more so now, as they are now a sought after classic. :)

You will have to excuse the composition, I know it is appalling. I took the photo from the car window, obviously. :)

It certainly stands out, in yellow.

Toyota Super Bright Yellow, renamed Solar Yellow on the next generation Celica but still the same colour. Personally I've always found Celicas to look best in white.

I think I would prefer it in red. But I am probably too old, for a bright red sports car. :)
