Capture One vs Adobe RAW Conversion

Was reading an article recently by a pro who mentioned the better RAW conversions using Capture One. As i understand it the package isn't that user friendly but are the conversions noticeably better, i'm led to believe skin tones for portraiture are far superior.

The one thing that does annoy me with the Canon / adobe combination is the well documented magenta colour cast plus the occasional green hue in shadow detail. What are your thoughts regarding Capture One, lots of pros use it and not just for the tethered feature.

It's an amazing piece of software, but I stopped using it due to lack of support for non Phaseone lenses. They've corrected this with 5.1 so I'll give it another try, time will see.
