Capture One software

I use it, I never got on with Lightroom, or Aperture, I worked at getting my head around Capture One and now love it, very powerful, great corrections for perspective (converging verticals, keystoning etc), local adjustment layers, the ability to process several different recipes on several different images, all at once etc. It also seems to do a better job of pulling detail and exposure out of a raw file than the others, though that might be subjective.

I also work with quite a few professionals through my day job, a lot of them like it too.

Keep an eye on www.captureonecomplete.com which sometimes has half price offers, I got Capture One Pro and Media Pro (the DAM side) for well less than £200.

Its still on offer at the moment, which is what interested me in the first place :)

Just a quick question though, after you've imported images do you have the option to see them all as grid view like LR does? So your main window is filled with smaller images?

It looks like to me, you can only see them in a strip along the bottom with a large chosen image in the main window

treeman why don't you download it and try it before you buy it its got a 30 day trial built in, I use it as my main RAW processor and wouldn't use anything else, I don't think you will be disappointed.

I use LR3 and CO6 Pro and find CO6 far better for getting detail out of a raw file, also when doing selective pixel editing it does not seem do as much pixel damage as LR when pushed to the limit.

Yes you can view your image in grid view simple click on the little grid view box, scroll through them, click on a image you wish to edit or view and click the full size box.:)
