Hi all
Does anyone use this software and would you recommend it for processing raw files etc?

I tried a trial of it a couple of months ago and it crashed quite a lot and put weird library files all over my external hard drive, needless to say I didn't carry on with the trial.

I use it and have done for years. Version 4 was buggy on release but it's all cleaned up now. Not quite as flexible as LR, but the colour and IQ of the files it produces are slightly better (esp. skintones) IMHO

My Hubby uses it for processing his 50D files. He has found nothing better and the CA correction in the Pro version is awesome. It appears to be more flexible than Adobe camera raw in the processing but lacks the cataloging. Is it any good? Certainly. Is the Pro version worth the money? Hmm:thinking:

I've been using it sionce they gave away licenses with 2GB CF cards - Can't compare it to LR as I've never been able to afford it. Very flexible and straightforward to use, the downsides are as already mentioned -

No catalogue as such - You have to be a bit strict on your own naming/filing conventions to find anything again

Quite a lot of "additional" folders (these only contain the "adjustments" applied to your RAW images (it's non destructive in that you can delete the "settings" folder and you've still got your original RAW's with no adjustments.

Not sure how much it is to buy (like I said my licence was a free one) but well worth considering if it's considerably less than Lightroom.

Thanks everyone for the replies  It's about £230 which I suspect is similar to lightroom. I've never really heard much about it until it was recommended to me a few days ago and thought I'd ask here for a bit more info / opinions .... Thanks again!

Steve
