Capture One Forum dead?

Today I see a notice on Capture One's Community Forum, effectively closing it for new content: https://support.captureone.com/hc/en-us/community/topics .

This is a bit weird, given that mutual support via the forum presumably reduces the load on C1 staff!
It's closed because of the massive bot attacks they were having, which meant for the last few months they have been monitoring every post.

They are looking for a more secure forum software/host, but not sure when it will be reinstated.

Meanwhile the suggestions/new features forum, which had already moved to a new host, is unaffected

Since being "forced" to join Facebook I've been using the Facebook Capture One forums. Unlike the Capture One run User to User forum, the Facebook forums regularly have contributions from C1 staff.

Hadn't realised all the detail above - but facebook is a step too far for me ... like gambling, it contradicts too many of my principles.

Facebook is a terrible place. But it's also proving very useful, more useful than I expected, as well as extremely tedious and annoying.

I recently counted the most recent 100 posts that appeared in my feed, and only 19 were related to the groups I'm signed up to. I used to click on the option not to see thse spuriois posts, but they are simply replaced with equally spurious post.

To me, that facebook might be useful is one of the Achilles heels of humanity. Have you thought deeply about what you're in effect buying into? But I'm accepting & compassionate, so do carry on ... -))

If you choose 'Feeds' and then 'All' it will only show content you follow (friends and groups plus ads) which makes it a lot more useable, I find the main feed is completely useless now because it's full of content I'm not interested in as you've mentioned. I've seen some recommendations for FBPurity which apparently helps a lot although I rarely use it apart from co-ordinating activities in a couple of groups now.

I do think about it.

Ah, thanks, that makes a big difference :-)

I may also have a looka FBPurity, but for now Feeds All makes. a massive difference.

Thanks I’ll try that too, Facebook is good for specialist groups like wildlife/nature but the amount of rubbish that i get is frustrating
