Hi there,

did anyone else but me try this beast?

I have tried it on a few photos of mine and I have to admit I'm positively impressed, the speed is near that of Rawshooter but I would say the quality is better and there are more possibilities, as it seems.

Grab it here:

What are your thoughts about it?

I have been using it for a while now as a beta tester for them and its a bit buggy still, and quite slow at times but does some nice conversions better than ACR 4.1

It's been pretty fast for me, but then again, the D50 is only a 6 MP.
It's much much faster than Lightroom on my PC, though, and the quality seems to be as good or better.

Btw., when downloading I ticked the part which says that I'd like to be beta tester for them, so I'll see if anything will come out of it.

When I say slow I'm comparing it to other Raw Converters.
I have been batch processing upto 300 files at a time after making adjustments to them all with 1dmk2n, 1dsmk2 files and some P25 files.

its not much better than v3.7 but there are subtle changes in it.

Its much better than lightroom, but what isnt.

I use Capture One LE which is my first choice RAW converter, so I will naturally be seeing how Capture One 4 performs with interest.

Well I've just tried it........first few images show OK but now all I'm getting after selecting one of the thumbnails is 'Loading.....'

Yes report already sent in Slapo (my 2nd one).....might try a fresh install when I get chance.

Hi,

I got the new version with my Leica M8 - it already had the M8 profiles built in.

It's an extraordinarily good bit of software, and it's quick, and easy to use.

I certainly prefer it to Lightroom, which I find a bit of a hassle.

The most difficult thing was registering it - it has the same call back features as Adobe CS3, and it takes a while, as well as a good bit of typing.

So, as a Capture One user, would you spend the money on buying C1 to process your RAW images or a CS3 Upgrade - €99 for C1 or £153 for CS3 Upgrade!!!!

Don't know which to choose as I need to upgrade from CS2 to CS3 so need to spend some money...bloody Mk3....

Carl.
