Capture NX2 / Phase One v ACR/LR

I'm currently using ACR / PS for my editing processes and have recently acquired a trial of both the phase one and Capture NX2 (i'm a Nikon D800E shooter).
Whilst there is a learning curve for both of the new programmes and the interface is somewhat different, do they all do the same thing just differently or are there really any benefits I should be aware of?

I was under the impression that Capture NX2 had been discontinued ... ACR and LR has some processing ability, though not as much as Photoshop but I've never used Phase One.

I think they (Nikon) stopped support for cameras from the D810. It's still downloadable though.
 
Capture NX2 is great for proper Nikon colours, and the point control (better than any other processing tool I find) but man is it old and slow now. The shadow and highlight recovery is nowhere as good as LR for instance.

I would be tempted to use NX2 to create a TIFF of the raw to get the spot on colours, then export to LR or PS.

Incidentally you can use NX2 with D750 or D810 files, but you have to trick them into being D610 files using a convertor program you can download off the net.

They all do roughly the same thing.

LR is good for large numbers

C1 Pro is the best quality raw converter in my opinion, the files just have something special about them
