Capture NX2 keeps crashing

I just set up capture NX2 60 day trial but whenever I try to open a nef file it starts to open then I get the "this program is not responding" box so I have to shut it down

The PC should run it easily enough dell XPS420 3gb of ram

i've updated it but it's still the same

any ideas :shrug:

Had exactly the same problem myself. I cured it by uninstalling M$ Net Framework & downloading Net Framework 2 & 2.1 update from M$.

Now works a treat.

tried that still the same, i'm now on version 3.5 of MS framework and 2.1.1 of capture NX2 trial

It starts, displays the thumbnails but when I try any open anything I get the this program has stopped responding box, i'm using Vista, any more ideas

Probably not much help but I am running NX2 OK and the trial ran OK.
I have Net Framework 1.1
I have a 2.2GHz and 2GB RAM running Vista Home Premium.
How long have you waited after the Not Responding message appears? I find on my old laptop that when the message appears programs continue OK if I just ignore the message and wait.
You may need to have a clean of the Hard Drive.
