Capture NX won't close down?????

Loaded Capture NX on last night as Photoshop CS2 refused to open my D300 NEFs, anyway quite like the software but when I go to close it down it just hangs there, won't close and my CPU sits running around 55% with nothing else going?

I have tried a couple of reboots but nothing doing still just hangs when I try to close it by either using exit or the red X.

Anyone offer any advise as obviously I can't put up with this every time I look at some pictures :bang:

you could try pressing Alt, Ctrl,Delete then shutting it down from the pop up box that will appear. :shrug:

Yep I do know that as that is how I have had to close it each time it hangs but I would like to know why it won't shut down normally?

I found a problem with NX2 where it hangs if you load up too many large images simultaneously, and it does this without any warning boxes.

Does it show this problem with a single image?

Yep even with one, just seems to be very resource intensive on the CPU and then hangs when you try to close it down?

If you Google Nikon capture NX hangs you'll find a lot on that. Seems to be an issue.
