I hear you can put captions in on paint shop pro? I've just been going to propertys on windows picture and fax viewer, then to summery, then simple and fill in the colums. What I really want to do is work it like a search engine, when all images are captioned and I have to right in what I need and I will get a photograph. Basicly I have hundreds and hundreds of images from my time at school, I want to be able to caption them and then search for them so its like a photo library for the school. I've got one of the most successful years in the schools history documented in images :) and I want to share them.

I'm not sure what you mean by 'captions' Ally? I use PSP7 mostly.. although I have later versions, it's the one I prefer.

Surely this is about intelligent titling (renaming) of your images? Windows/Start/Search should throw up a particular image or closely related group very quickly? Let me know if you find the answer anyway. :)

I think Alley means adding a tag so that he can search for a category? I don't know about PSP I'm afraid

I googled 'sorting images in paintshop pro' and got a few ideas, think the main way to do it is to right click on the image and add a tag?...

13/06/06: Brenda Hadcroft head teacher of Braeview academy, Dundee talks to Deputy First Minster Nicol Stephen and First Minster Jack McConnell during there visit to the school.

So the photograph would be saved like that but then If I wanted to search for it I could put in anyone of the key words

Title: Jack McConnell, Nicol Stephen and Brenda Hadcroft

Subject: Jack McConnell Visit

Author : Alistair Vannet - Braeview Academy

Keywords: Jack McConnell, Nicol Stephen, Brenda Hadcroft, Jack McConnell Visit
Is this possible or I'm I thinking to much?

Thanks for allt he replys and help. :)

Which version of PSP are you using Ally?

I'm using PSP7, although I have PSPX and hate what Corel have done to it. Sorry if I gave the impression I have the slightest idea how to solve your problem, I was just curious. :D

Ally, I did a bit of googling a while ago, as I was asking a similar question.

I want to basically sort out all the IPTC info in all my photos, so that they become searchable (and also for the pursposes of submission to news / libraries etc etc).

The one answer I came across was that alot of people lean towards some software called Photo Mechanic. I never got round to trying the trial version, but they have the facility to try before you buy on their site.

Camera Bits / Photo Mechanic

Hope this helps, and let us know how you get on.
