Cape Verde Islands. Thoughts?

Just googled it to have a look. There seem to be sand dunes, volcanic landscapes, probably street photography. I imagine there are seabirds. I guess it depends how much you want photography to be part of the holiday and how much you are able/prepared to travel around the place.

It's going to be tricky to answer without knowing where your photographic interests lie.
For culture, documentary, people and possibly architecture, you're good to go. If you're a woodland photographer, or like Lighthouses at the end of winding paths, you're going to be out of luck. I went 15 years ago too, so things may well have changed. (This was Boa Vista)
Assuming you're in an all-inc, there's always the wildlife
And occasionally some big skies...
We went in November and whilst it wasn't "hot", it was "very comfortable". The sea was mostly red flagged due to wind and tides for the entire 10 days and the people there were the best of all the countries we have visited. Although that may have had something to do with us getting our currency mixed up in favour of the locals.
I'd go again in a heartbeat to do it properly with my experience now.

Going back in February. And apparently there’s little to photograph or do on Boa Vista, so definitely go to Sal.
