Canvas vs print

I want to print some images from a recent London visit, to display on my walls at home. I'm torn between canvas and framed prints. I know canvas is "an unsharp medium" but just how 'less sharp' is it compared to a print?

Here are a couple of images I want to display.

With the panorama at 12 inches x 36 inches, the cost of printing and framing is twice that of a canvas from TradeCanvas, thats without the TPForum discount.

I want to keep detail, would there be a significant difference with a canvas once you take into account the viewing distance of the usual metre or so? (displayed above a sofa)

I guess the benefit of framing is I can always replace the image itself later down the line.

Advice appreciated.

Get them printed on Aluminium or acrylic. They will look amazing IMO. Not cheap though.

But if I was to choose framed or canvas. I would go framed. :)

The colour one would look stunning on high gloss aluminium

I'd personally not print them on canvas - they would probably be quite nice as a box frame

Thank you for the replies. Appreciated.
