Hi,

Please, I need an advice as I want to buy a professional printer with good picture quality for printing photos, graphics and arts commercially. I am looking to start at the low end price ones, not necessarily the wide format printers yet. I'm looking at printing on (matte) canvas paper sizes from A1, A2, A3 downwards (A1 size isn't a must anyways). I am also looking at printing A5 posters on it for personal use too, but just once i guess. My budget is less than £1000 with very affordable inks.

I will appreciate any form of advice or recommendation.

Thanks,

Joe.

you won't get anything to print A1 for under a grand - you can get A2 for a grand though an epson 3880 and you can get 3rd party carts for it too

Using third party inks to me is a no-no but each to his own.

I have a 3880 and have only ever used genuine ink and the results are brilliant.

I also have a 7880 and used Mickey Mouse ink for about a week in it (with printer profiles)
and to be honest the results were..................crap!

Never heard I mickey mouse ink that's probably where you went wrong. Better off using a well known brand of ink.
