Hi

I am looking for some advice on printing.

I have a square photo 3104px by 3104px which I would like to split into 16 small squares. Then, I would like to print each of these squares separately on canvas or something similar. Here are my questions:

1) I would like the finished mosaic to be 80cm by 80cm (without gaps between blocks) ant that would mean that each block is 20cm by 20cm. Will the quality be good enough to display on the wall? My calculation shows it will be printed in 97dpi
2) Is there a software that will easily split my photo into number of small squares?
3) I would like to achieve an effect where each block has a dimension, is say an inch thick like canvas for example. However canvas printing is quite expensive (over £150 for something like this). Are there any other options of printing that would result in similar three dimensional effect?

Thank you
Pawel

Well canvas isn't 3d, its printed flat the put on a frame so I guess you could print the pics and put them on a frame, just not sure how the edges would fair.

Yes. Any image which has over 6 megapixels will not show visible pixelation when printed large and viewed from an appropriate distance. You have nearly 10 megapixels so you'll be fine.
