I watched a youtube video showing how you can adjust the focus on the EOS utility for focus stacking purposes. You can use the arrows in app to focus in/out at regular steps so you can get even steps for focus stacking purposes.
I can't seem to do it on my camera and the camera always had some autofocus issues (when taking photos of people, sometimes it just wouldn't focus and not take the shot). I don't know if this is a fault with my lens or just a characteristic of this camera/lens setup.
I can only get the zoom in/out option when I put the lens in AF mode. But then the camera/lens seems to almost fight me when I try focus in or out inside EOS utility app. In MF swith on the lens the zoom in/out is completely greyed out.
ANy ideas if I have a faulty focus on my lens? I bought my camera and lens both off camerajungle years ago, so it was never brand new.
I am taking extreme macro photos and I have to put the lens in MF and manually change the focus myself by hand, it's not really ideal as the tripod moves a little when I touch the camera. I'm not sure if auto-align in photoshop is good enough to account for the camera moves. Also I have trouble getting the focus to go in/out in even amounts when I'm twisting it by hand.
