Can't I use a remote flash cord on a EOS 60D?

As there is no PC terminal connection on my Canon EOS 60D do I understand correctly that I cannot use a wired external remote speedlite using a flash cord connection? If that is the case then is the only answer is to go wireless?
 
You can get a hotshoe adapter with a pc port on it, either with or without an additional hotshoe atop.
 
As Graham says for a PC adapter, or you can just plug in a regular dedicated cord and retain full E-TTL control, just like the flash was on top of the camera.

You can get any length up to 10m.
