I need some assistance, Im finally getting round to upgrading my kit lens to something better for landscape photography and was wondering what Canon users currently have in their bag for landscape photography, please let me know what you guys think of your lenses. As much as I'd love to Im not able to spend over £800. Thanks

I bought a 10-18mm recently. Haven't used it enough yet though.

It really depends whether you have a full frame or crop camera as the lens would differ. 35mm used to be the standard landscape lens, now you have 16-35, 17-40, 24-70 or a host of primes like the 24mm and for crop and the introduction of the UWA lenses like 10-20, 10-22, 11-16, 8-16, there's even more choice, you could also look at the tilt+shift lenses. At the end if the day, it's how you frame the image, whether its 24mm, 35mm or 70mm, there's a host of options out there.

I have a nikon 14-24 . I have tried it on landscapes . At the 14mm end i find it a bit wide. Super lend though. Also uwa lens have to be kept level or the verticals convergence is reslly bad. Unless you want to be creative . Thrn it comes into its own

Currently have the 16-35mm f2.8 on my 6D (full frame) which I love, but thinking of switching to the new 16-35mm f4 as it seems to be quite a bit sharper and slightly cheaper as well. There's also £80 Canon cashback on this lens at the moment.

I don't think you need to spend anywhere near £800 as you have a crop body.

Probably canon 10-22 is your best bet.

Cam get this new for around £400 after canon cashback, even before considering the grey import route ie well within your budget.

16-35 f4L would be the one to go for on a full frame camera but not really that wide on a crop

Cheers guys lots to choose from but mamy thanks for all your input.

Another vote for the 10-22 on a crop it's excellent! And good value

Another vote for the 10-18mm here, a great lens at an even better price. Don't let the plastic feel fool you its a lovely lens
