hi, i need advice i currently have the canon 550d but want to upgrade maybe to the 60d or even the 7d any users advice would be most welcome. I do allsorts of photography and have various lenses but feel i need something with that bit extra quality.
Just had a look at your current camera bag and if you want "Extra Quality" then you should hang on to what is an excellent camera (550D) and capable of superb shots (you wouldn't see a difference in your shots if they were taken on a 7D) and the reason is that your lens line up is rather lackluster and apart from your nifty fifty and possibly the 18-55 which is quite capable the rest will never be able to get the best out of your current cameras sensor and resolution. You also have a lot of crossover focal lengths there as well. Sell the 75-300 and 80-400 (its abysmal at 400 anyway according to all reviews so no gain on your 75-300 there) the 28-80 (antique) and spend the money you would have spent on a 7D on good quality lenses. This more than a new body will blow you away when you get shooting. You could get a used Canon 17-55 f2.8 and 70-200L f4 for £850 or a Canon 15-85, Tamron 17-50 f2.8 etc etc etc. Any of these will markedly improve quality. With your current lenses another body, even a Full Frame like a 5D will not .
